TASK

This example calculates the capacities of a glulam beam, using different software and Eurocode annex of different countries. The example is taken from "Limtreboka" (see https://www.moelven.com/globalassets/moelven-limtre/limtre_eksmpl_digital.pdf), page 17 - 24.

• Profile: 140 x 585 mm

• Material: GL 30c, service class 1, load duration medium-term

• span 7500mm

• loads:

  • permanent load: 4 kN/m 

  • live load (cat. A): 10 kN/m

  • all loads distributed on top of beam
